āsaktatā putradārādikānāṃ samyak śaktistavane nāsti viṣṇoḥ /
viṣṇustutau nāvakāśosti vāco dṛṣṭohaṃ tvaṃ kena puṇyena deva //
There is attachment to sons, wives, and the like; there is no full ability to praise Viṣṇu;
there is no occasion for speech in the praise of Viṣṇu; by what merit, O God, were you seen by me?
