kanyaiva sā kṛṣṇapatnī ca kāmāṃstāṃstān bhajenmanasā cintitāṃśca /
atīva yatnaṃ kavyavāhaṃ khagendra pitṛṣvekaḥ sarvadā vai cakāra //

Being only a maiden, she, the wife of Kṛṣṇa, enjoyed those desires pondered in her mind; / one among the ancestors, Kavyavāha, O King of Birds, always made great effort [to wed her].
