3.2.21

cidrūpākhyo hyupādhistu mokṣe yepyadhikāriṇaḥ /
duḥ kharūpo hyupādhistu tamaso yedhikāriṇaḥ //

The adjunct known as consciousness belongs to those who are eligible for liberation;
but the adjunct consisting of suffering belongs to those eligible for darkness;
