sarvāparādhādrahitaṃ dānamānairyuktaṃ sadā tāratamyācca hīnam /
dṛṣṭvāparādhaṃ tasya viṣṇurmahātmā hāhākāraṃ kurute krodhabuddhyā //
When the noble Viṣṇu sees the offense of one devoid of all offense [confessions], full of gifts and honors, but ever lacking [knowledge of the divine] hierarchy, / he cries out in distress with an angry mind:
