na te narā naiva te vai kṣitīśāḥ sarve naiva hyuttamāḥ sarvadaiva /
ye devā ye ca daityāśca sarvepyevaṃ khagādhipa //
they are not [mere] men, nor are they [mere] rulers of the earth; nor are all of them always foremost. / Whatever gods and whatever Daityas there are, all of them are like this, O lord of birds.
