yadutpannaṃ tena nārāḥ khagendra teṣāṃ sadāpyāśrayatvācca vīndra /
nārāyaṇeti pravadantīha loke hyanantabrahmāṇḍavisarjakatvāt //
—arose, by that they are called waters, O King of Birds; and because he is ever the refuge of them, O king of birds, / they call him Nārāyaṇa here in the world, and because he creates endless cosmic eggs.
