iti śrīgāruḍe mahāpurāṇe uttarakhaṇḍe tṛtīyāṃśe brahmakāṇḍe tāratamyanirūpaṇadvārā viṣṇorevopāsyatvamityarthanirūpaṇaṃ nāmāṣṭāviṃśatamodhyāyaḥ

Thus ends the twenty-eighth chapter, entitled 'Determination of the Meaning that Viṣṇu Alone is the Object of Worship through the Exposition of Hierarchy', in the Brahmakāṇḍa, the third portion of the Uttarakhaṇḍa in the glorious Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa.
