kāṣṭhā sāṃbasya bhāryā sā lakṣaṇaṃ saṃyunaktyataḥ /
lakṣaṇābhidhayābhūmau duṣṭa vīryodbhavā hyapi //
she is Kāṣṭhā, the wife of Sāmba; because she unites with excellence (lakṣaṇa),
she was on earth under the name Lakṣaṇā, although born from corrupt seed.
