rāmāvatāre nāma tārā babhūva sā vālipatnī śacīsajakā ca //
Know Śacī to be the wife of the king of gods; hear duly of her incarnations, O King of Birds:
in the Rāma incarnation she had the name Tārā; she was the wife of Vālin, designated as Śacī.
