pitryaṃ nayāmi pravihāyaiva ye tu pitruddeśātkevalaṃ yaḥ karoti /
sa pāpātmā narakānvai prayātītyetadvākyaṃ satyametadbravīmi //
I do not accept [offerings to] ancestral fathers if someone, having abandoned [them], performs [them] solely for the purpose of the ancestors. / That sinful soul goes indeed to hells; I speak this statement as the truth.
