supīḍanaṃ sarvadā bhartṛvarge gṛhasthitavrīhivastrādicauryāt /
prakīrṇabhūtānmūrdhajānsaṃdadhānaṃ karairyutaṃ devakalipriyaṃ ca //

constant oppression in the circle of the husband's kin, theft of grain, cloth, and other goods kept in the house, / keeping disheveled hair, accompanied by clapping hands—these are dear to the deity Kali.
