gaṅgādiṣaṭkaṃ samameva nityaṃ parasparaṃ nottamaṃ nādhamaṃ ca /
pradhānāgneḥ pāvikānyaiva gaṅgā sadā śubhā nātra vicāryamasti //
The group of six beginning with Gaṅgā are always equal to one another, neither superior nor inferior. / Other than the purifier of the principal fire, Gaṅgā is always auspicious; there is no doubt about this.
