yasmin gṛhe devamahotsavaśca yasmin gṛhe śravaṇaṃ nāsti viṣṇoḥ /
tatsaṃsargādyāti duḥ khādikaṃ ca tasya sparśo naiva kāryaḥ kadāpi //
in whichever house there is no great festival for the gods, in whichever house there is no hearing about Viṣṇu, / from association with that [house], suffering and the like comes; one should never touch him.
