3.4.70

tamasopekṣayā tatra tama ekādaśaṃ smṛtam /
ekāṃśastu rajo jñeyamevamāhurmanīṣiṇaḥ /
evaṃ ca militānbhāgānvakṣye śṛṇu mahāmate //

There, in comparison with tamas, tamas is considered an eleventh; / and one part is to be known as rajas: so the wise declare. / And thus I shall speak of the combined parts; listen, O great-minded one.
