Thus ends the fourth chapter in the Pretakalpa in the latter section of the venerable Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa, in the dialogue between the Blessed Kṛṣṇa and Garuḍa, entitled 'The Determination of the Cremation Rite, the Characteristics of Kṛcchra, the Return of One Cremated [in Effigy], the Rite for Death of a Menstruating Woman, and the Penance for Death in Pañcaka'.
