gardabho jāyate jantuḥ pitroścāpyavamānakaḥ /
mātāpitarāvākruśya śārikā samprajāyate //
“The man also who scorns his parents is born an ass; for reviling his mother and father he is born a mainā;[3] and he who scorns his brother’s wife becomes a pigeon; but for injuring her he becomes a tortoise.
