tasmādrājñā prayatnena sarve varṇāḥ svadharmataḥ /
pravartanto 'nyathā daṇḍyāḥ sthāpyāścaiva svakarmasu //
Therefore, all castes must be directed with effort by the king to their own dharma; / if behaving otherwise, they must be punished and established in their proper duties."
