rajatasya tathā kāryaṃ darśanaṃ dānameva vā /
rājate hi svadhā dugdhā pitṛbhiḥ śrūyate mahī /
tasmāt pitṝṇāṃ rajatamabhīṣṭaṃ prītivardhanam //

The sight or the gift of silver is to be made; / for it is heard that the earth was milked of svadhā by the ancestors into a silver [vessel]; / therefore silver is beloved by the ancestors and increases their pleasure.
