tadāsmāt putra ! niṣkṛṣya maddattādaṅgulīyakāt /
vācyaṃ te śāsanaṃ paṭṭe sūkṣmākṣaraniveśitam //
then, O son, having drawn out from this ring given by me / the scroll inscribed with fine letters, its instruction is to be read by you."
