śītoṣṇādibhiratyugrairyasya bādhā na vidyate /
na bhītimeti cānyebhyastasya siddhirupasthitā //
One who experiences no affliction from fierce heat, cold, and the like,
and feels no fear of other beings—his yogic perfection is at hand.

Thus ends the thirty-ninth chapter, entitled "The Chapter on Yoga" in the narrative of the inert one, in the glorious Mārkaṇḍeya Purāṇa.
