surakṣaḥ śiśirākṣaśca vaiduryaḥ kapilastathā /
piñjaro 'tha mahābhadraḥ surasaḥ piṅgalo madhuḥ //
Surakṣa,[5] and Śiśirakṣa, Vaidurya, and Kapila,[6] and Piñjara, Mahābhadra, Surasa, Kapila, Madhu, Añjana, Kukkuṭa, Kṛṣṇa, and Pāṇḍura the loftiest of mountains, and the mountain Sahasraśikhara, Pāripātra, and Śṛṅgavat; these mountains are well-known as lying on the west of Meru beyond the subjacent hills[7] which are on the west side.
