rakṣaṇāya ca lokānāṃ devānāmupakāriṇī /
tacchṛṇuṣva mayā'khyātaṃ yathāvatkathayāmi te //
and for the protection of the worlds, as a benefactor to the gods— / hear that as narrated by me; I tell it to you properly.
