madbhṛtyaistairasadvṛttairdharmataḥ pālyate na vā
na jāne sa pradhāno me śūro hastī sadāmadaḥ

for destroying the bodies of the daityas, for granting fearlessness to devotees, / and indeed for the welfare of the gods—thus do they bear weapons.
