dṛṣṭvā tacchapharīrūpaṃ sa dayālurmahīpatiḥ
rakṣaṇāyākarodyatnaṃ sa tasminkarakodare //
Seeing that small carp form, the compassionate ruler of the earth / made an effort to protect it in the hollow of that water vessel.
