The (6) _Kâma-Vrata,_ the destroyer of all woes should be observed on the thirteenth day of Pauṣa. The devotee should take his meal at night and give away to a Brâhmaṇa, a golden tree of Aśoka, ten fingers in height after covering it with a cloth and pieces of sugarcane. He should invoke the pleasure of Pradyumna, with the words: “Pradyumnah priyatâm” at the time of giving it away. By doing so, the devotee resides without care and anxiety in the region of Viṣṇu, till the end of the kalpa.—9-10.
