One who worships Lakṣmî—the Goddess of wealth—and keeps the fast on the fifth day of a month, for a year, and at the end of it gives away a cow, along with a lotus of gold, goes to the kingdom of Viṣṇu and is always born in good circumstances. This is called the (11) Sampada-Vrata and is the destroyer of all ills.—19-20.
