jyeṣṭhe pañcatapāḥ sāyaṃ hemadhenuprado divam
yātyaṣṭamīcaturdaśyo rudravratamidaṃ smṛtam //
One who gives away cows in the evening, after warming himself with five fires (pañchatapa), on the 8th and the 14th day in the month of Jyaiṣṭha, goes to heaven. This is Rudra-Vrata.—76.
