pañca kuṇḍāni rājendra teṣāṃ madhye tu jāhnavī
prayāgasya praveśe tu pāpaṃ naśyati tatkṣaṇāt //

O King ! there are five deep channels in Prayâga. The Ganges flows in the middle of them. The sins disappear the moment one enters the boundary of Prayâga.—12.
