kurukṣetrasamā gaṅgā yatra yatrāvagāhyate
kurukṣetrāddaśaguṇā yatra vindhyena saṃgatā //
The place where the Ganges alone flows, is as sacred as Kurukṣetra, and the place where she flows touching the Vindhya range, is tenfold more sacred.—49.
