tatra snātvā divaṃ yānti ye mṛtāste 'punarbhavāḥ
evaṃ tīrthasahasrāṇi yamunādakṣiṇe taṭe //

One goes to heaven by bathing there; by dying there he is not born again. Similarly, there are thousands of tîrthas on the southern bank of the Yamunâ. I am now describing the Tîrtha on the northern bank known as the Niranjana tîrtha of Âditya, where the Devas, along with Indra, perform sandhyâ three times a day and worship the tîrtha; other-wise men do the same.—28-30.
