varṣāṇāṃ parvatānāṃ ca yathābhedaṃ tathottaram
teṣāṃ madhye janapadās tāni varṣāṇi sapta vai //
As there is a distribution of the mountains, so there is a distribution of the Varṣas (along with them) one after another. Many peopled districts are in them. These varṣas are seven in number.—26.
