*sūta uvāca
dvīpabhedasahasrāṇi sapta cāntargatāni ca
na śakyante krameṇeha vaktuṃ vai sakalaṃ jagat //
Sûta said :—The Dvîpas are several thousands in number, and out of them seven are important ones. To describe them all, in this place, in their entirety is not possible.—4.
