godāvarī bhīmarathī kṛṣṇaveṇī ca vañjulā
tuṅgabhadrā suprayogā vāhyā kāverī caiva tu
dakṣiṇāpathanadyastāḥ sahyapādādviniḥsṛtāḥ //
The Godâvarî, the Bhîmarathî, the Kṛiṣṇaveṇî, the Banjulâ, the Tungabhadrâ, the Suprayôgâ, the Vâhyâ, the Kaverî (these rivers in the south having their source in the *Sahya* mountains).
