sarvāḥ puṇyajalāḥ puṇyāḥ sarvagāśca samudragāḥ
viśvasya mātaraḥ sarvāḥ sarvapāpaharāḥ śubhāḥ //
All the rivers named above are sacred, and fall into the sea, and their waters are pure and sacred; and every one drinks from them. They are the mothers of the universe and purge the sin of the world.—33.
