sarasvatī prabhavati tasmājjyotiṣmatī tu yā
avagāḍhe hyubhayataḥ samudrau pūrvapaścimau //
At the back of the Hemakûṭa is the lake of the snakes (sarpa) out of which flow the two rivers, Sarasinatî and Jyotiṣmatî falling to the eastern and western seas respectively.—65.
