yojanānāṃ sahasrāṇi daśordhvaṃ cocchrito giriḥ //
Outside the Vaiśvânara path (the Solstice of Cancer), the light comes on the world from the Loka mountain. It is day time when the light of the sun spreads from the Puṣkara.—80. The Mount Lokâloka is 10,000 yôjanas high and extends sideways and outwards. The Mountain is partly illumined and partly dark, and is round in shape; the inner portions of the Lokâloka Mountain are illumined by the sun, the moon and the stars. This is the Âloka Mountain, and the Mount Nirâloka is beyond it.—81-83.
