hrāsavṛddhī tathaivāsya raśmayaḥ sūryavatsmṛtāḥ
tricakrobhayato 'śvaśca vijñeyaḥ śaśino rathaḥ //
The Moon has also been described to wax and wane according to His positions with respect to the Sun. There are three wheels in the chariot of the Moon and the horses are yoked at both the ends.—47.
