sūryo 'maratvamamṛte trayas triṣu niyacchati
evaṃ raśmisahasraṃ tu sauraṃ lokārthasādhakam //
In amṛta the sun bestows immortality; three [groups] distribute across the three [seasons of the year]. / Thus the solar thousand rays accomplish the welfare of the world.
