bhagavañśrotumicchāmi pitṝṇāṃ vaṃśamuttamam
raveśca śrāddhadevatvaṃ somasya ca viśeṣataḥ //
Manu said: "Lord! I am very eager to hear something about the important family of the Pitṛis of the Sun and the Moon."—(1).
