pramathārasitaṃ śrutvā vāditrasvanameva ca
pārśvasthaḥ sumahāpārśvaṃ vidyunmāliṃ mayo 'bravīt //
Hearing this tumultuous uproar of the Pramathas and the sounding of the drums Maya asked Vidyunmâlî who was close by—O Vidyunmâlî! What is this sound that we hear uttered by so many mouths like the roar of the ocean? What is the cause of this sudden uproar? The Devas are fighting and the Asuras are fleeing What is the cause of this? —47 48
