*ṛṣaya ūcuḥ
caturyugāṇi yāni syuḥ pūrve svāyambhuve 'ntare
eṣāṃ nisargasaṃkhyāṃ ca śrotumicchāma vistarāt //

The Ṛiṣis said:—O Sûta! we are now desirous of hearing in detail the nature and the measurements of four yugas during the time of Svayambhuva Manu—1
