tadbalaṃ dānavendrāṇāṃ māyayā kālaneminaḥ
taddṛṣṭvā dānavānīkaṃ labdhasaṃjñaṃ divākaraḥ
uvācāruṇamudbhrāntaḥ kopāllokaikalocanaḥ //

The Sun on realizing the increase of the power of the demons by Kālanemi angrily commanded His charioteer Aruṇa to take Him to the spot where Kālanemi was. "Now there will be a tough fight" said the Sun, "and many heroes, will be killed. Behold! The Moon has been conquered by the Sun."
