151.18

tāmaprāptāṃ nimirbāṇaiś cicheda tilaśo raṇe
tāṃ nāśamāgatāṃ dṛṣṭvā hīnāgre prārthanāmiva //

Jambha tormented Garuda with sharp-pointed arrows and the mountain-like Śambhu pierced the arm of Viṣṇu by his arrows. When the bow of Viṣṇu was torn asunder, He picked up His club and, after brandishing it, struck Mathana with it. But Nimi smashed the club to pieces on the mid way by his arrows and it was shattered like the prayers made to a destitute person.—16-18
