padmarūpamabhūdetat kathaṃ hemamayaṃ jagat
kathaṃ ca vaiṣṇavī sṛṣṭiḥ padmamadhye 'bhavatpurā //
The Ṛiṣis said:—"O Sūta! You have described in detail the glory of Narasiṁha, now tell us something more in detail about His other glorious works. How did this universe become the golden lotus? What was the nature of Viṣṇu'a creation inside the lotus?'—1-2
