165.1

*matsya uvāca
catvāryāhuḥ sahasrāṇi varṣāṇāṃ tu kṛtaṃ yugam
tasya tāvacchatī saṃdhyā dviguṇā ravinandana //

Matsya said: / They say four thousand years make the Kṛta Yuga; / its dawn is as many hundreds [of years], and its twilight is twice that, O son of the Sun.
