*sūta uvāca
evamābhāṣya taṃ krodhān mārkaṇḍeyo mahāmuniḥ
tathaiva bhagavānbhūyo babhāṣe madhusūdanaḥ //
When Mârkandeya finished his wrathful speech the Lord Madhusûdana said—Son! I am Purâṇapuruṣa Your progenitor Why do you not come to me? I am your father, Your Guru In former times
