170.26

tadicchāmo varaṃ deva tvatto 'dbhutam ariṃdama
amoghadarśano 'si tvaṃ namaste samitiṃjaya //

Then both the Asuras saluted Viṣṇu and said "we know Thee to be the Great cause of the universe Thou art Purusottama, protect us We are ignorant. Thou art the image of sattvaguna We have come to see Thee Deva! Thy sight is not fruitless. We are eager to seek a boon from Thee, and we salute Thee.'—23-25

Śrî Bhagavâna spoke — "What for do you seek a boon? You have completed your lives. Do you wish to live longer? —26 27
