pradhānātmā purā hyeṣa brahmāṇamasṛjatprabhuḥ
so 'sṛjatpūrvapuruṣaḥ purākalpe prajāpatīn //
The Supreme Spirit Nârâyaṇa first became the Pradhânâtmâ and created Brahmâ and the latter created the worthy Prajâpatis in the previous kalpas who contributed to the great multiplication of the men and other beings The eternal Akhaṇḍa Brahmâ was divided by the Prajâpatis in many parts The doings of Viṣṇu have been thus described Now listen to His mundane glory—7 9
