jagāma brahmaṇā sārddhaṃ svalokantu mahāyaśāḥ.
etadāścaryamabhavat saṃgrāme tārakāmaye.
dānavānāñca viṣṇośca yanmāntvaṃ paripṛṣṭavān .. 178.80 ..
Lord Viṣṇu after thus speaking to the Devas retired to His realm in company of Brahmâ. Such was the wonder of the Târakâmaya war that waged between the Devas and the demons and I have related all that to You.—80.
