O King Yudhiṣṭhira! in this way the sacred place Amarakaṇṭaka is the most sanctified and therefore one who goes there on the occasion of a solar or a lunar eclipse and gets the merits ten times more than that of the Aśwamedha sacrifice One attains heaven by worshipping Maheśvara there The sin of killing a Brâhmaṇa is driven away by going there on the occasion of a solar eclipse This is the glory of the sacred Mount Amarakaṇṭaka—80 82
